Every July the fairgrounds are home to good, old-fashioned family fun known as the county fair. Since 1817 families have enjoyed coming to the fair, where the motto is "There's something for everyone at the oldest, continuous operating fair in America." Midway rides, agricultural competitions, demonstrations and displays abound at the fair. Enjoy everything from horse shows and tractor pulls to baking contests and livestock competitions. Arts, crafts, and locally produced food products are readily available.
