Wind Swept Meadows Farms

Wind Swept Meadows Farm is a 465-acre farm that has been in our family since 1908.  We are part of CSA which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension.  At our CSA farm, our customers have paid in advance, actually before the growing season, for a share of the farm’s harvest.  Each week, these shareholders stop by to pick up their freshly harvested produce.

While a student in Syracuse, our daughter developed a wildlife management plan that we follow to maintain order at the farm.  In addition to our beef cows and dairy heifers, we also work hard to manage the wildlife that roams our land.  As members of the Quality Deer Management Association and the North East Wild Turkey Federation, we plant special crops for both species.  Deer and turkey are prevalent here in the North Country along with rabbits, quail and an abundance of birds and waterfowl.

Our self-serve roadside vegetable stand is open from July to October from 10 am until dusk.  In addition to wonderful in-season vegetables, Wind Swept Meadow offers all natural beef in small packages, just like the grocery markets.  Our succulent steaks are packaged for two and hamburger is available in one or two pound packs.  Our fresh beef is on hand all the time so feel free to stop by.  We also have homemade jams and jellies, and baked goods including pies and cookies by special order.  If you’re interested in ordering some baked goods, please call us at 315-788-1933. We hope you enjoy the view as you ride along the 1000 Islands Ag Tour and will stop by often.
