The fairgrounds are home every July to the good, old-fashioned family fun known as the county fair.Since 1817, families have enjoyed coming to the fair, where the motto is “There’s something for everyone at the oldest continuous operating fair in America.” Midway rides, agricultural competitions, demonstrations and displays abound at the fair.The 194th edition of the fair is for July 12– 17, 2011.Enjoy everything from horse shows and tractor pulls to baking contests and livestock competitions.Arts, crafts and locally produced food products are readily available.
